top Team Building Pointe Style

As you plan your meeting, you may want to consider a Team Building event. Pointe Destination Services offers "Teamwork Through Competition" with professional staff, games and equipment.

Executive Olympics/Supergames
The tops, the best and the all-out competition designed for everyone. Dry Land Yacht Races, Unobstacle Course, Quad Volleyball, Ski Races and a Team Cheer complete this special competition: American, Wild West, Military, and Water offer a variety of themes for your group.

Eggstreme Challenge
Your team is on a rescue mission trying to find and recover a rare egg. Using a collection of materials purchased with points, teams must design a contraption to get this egg from eight feet in the air to the ground without breaking or packaging it.

Lost Dutchman's Desert Jeep Rally
High energy, competitive fun and a unique setting is the theme for our exciting Desert Jeep Rally! Using a series of clues (in limerick form), a Polaroid camera, common sense and creativity, desert treckies set out in four-wheel-drive vehicles to find the infamous "Lost Dutchman's Hidden Treasure."

Corporate Cowboy Shoot-Out
Your "gang" divides up into two "teams" and everyone is suited up with a loaded paint-ball rifle . . . Let the shoot-out begin! With strategies in place, each team member sets out to capture the opposing team's flag while defendingtheir own!

Chili Cookoff
Your group is divided into teams that make their own recipe for chili. Judges determine the best chili and prizes are given. Also includes western games, cowboy hats and Arizona state flag bandanas.

Teepee Building
Each team will actually design and build a teepee. They will have the opportunity tocreate their own story on canvas without the use of the modern alphabet and a "tribal" chant to convey a company message. Each team will be judged on the original design, story, artwork and tribal chant.

Scavenger Hunt
Competition abounds in a fun-filled, pool-to-pool, bar-to-bar, trek through the Pointe property. Follow creative clues designed especially for your group. At each location, the team is required to complete a task as they race to the finish line. Prizes will be awarded to the winning teams.

Build-A-Boat Races
This is the newest rave in corporate team building where your guests will divide into teams and work together to build the ultimate boat using materials that are provided to them. On completion, a team member will race his or her boat against the other team members.

We at the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort
recognize that you may have other ideas for team building.
If your interests are not represented, we can custom design a team builder just for you!

top Pointes of Pride

Chili Cookoff
Your group will be divided into teams and then the chili competition, but most of all, the fun begins! Each group starts with their own utensils, stoves and ingredients - from there it's up to their imagination. While the chili simmers, the Shoot'n from the Hip Contest, Tortilla Toss Contest and Country Swing Dance Lessons will entertain them till the Grand Finale - Judging the Chili! A team of "experts" chooses the best chili. Prizes are awarded.

Aunt Chilada's
Mexican Cooking Class

Once you have been greeted by a PDS hostess, sit back and relax as you are cordially introduced to the makings of a perfect margarita. Enjoy the aromatic scents as Aunt Chilada's "award-winning" personal chef, teaches you how to cook an authentic Mexican meal! You may follow along with your personal recipe booklet or simply enjoy the informative cooking demonstration. A margarita reception and lunch is served immediately following the demonstration so you may sample the delicious entrées yourself.

Desert Hiking
Now hold up those suspenders, 'cause we got something in this here valley that no other city has - the Phoenix Mountain Preserve, and it's ready and waiting for you to climb up and conquer. Huffin' and puffin' aside, you'll hit the trail for about two hours. Don't worry about the difficulty level. We have trails to fit all ages and abilities. Celebrate conquering the trail with libations on your return.

Breakfast with the Chef
and Herb Garden Tour

Have breakfast with the Executive Chef of Different Pointe of View, the Pointe's award-winning fine dining restaurant. First, the Chef will meet the group at his herb garden on the hill where he will explain all of the herbs and their importance in cooking. Then it's on to the dining room itself with its breathtaking view of the Valley! Here, the chef will make a special breakfast just for the group, followed by a plate-painting demonstration and fruit flambé. To wind things up, the whole group will have an opportunity to try their own hand at plate painting. This is an experience only the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort can offer!
